LANCER SECTION

KERYGMA CLUB RALLY – Come to the small gym at lunch on Wednesday, May 22nd to attend the Kerygma clubs rally.  There will be root beer floats and a guest speaker.

DROP YOUR FINANCIAL AID AWARD LETTERS OFF IN THE COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER TODAY - Every senior needs to take his or her financial aid letter, either from FAFSA or the schools that your were admitted to and copies of any scholarship letters or email that you have received to the College and Career Center today.  If you did not remember to bring them today, stop by Room 332 to talk with Miss Gildon.

FEMALE SENIORS GOING TO UCLA IN THE FALL - Stop by the College and Career Center today to find out more about a scholarship available for you.

FOOTBALL TRYOUTS! - Want to join the Big Red Machine!?!?  Then come out to John T. Ford Stadium everyday after school.  Please report to Head Coach Jameison with your most recent report card showing your minimum 2.0 GPA.  For after school workouts you will need t-shirt, shorts, athletic shoes, and football cleats.  The practices will last 2-3 hours.  If you have questions please see Coach Murphy in Room 214.

BRING YOUR FINANCIAL AID AWARD LETTERS TO THE COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER - Seniors, remember to bring your financial aid letter, either from FAFSA or the schools that you were admitted to and copies of any scholarship letters or email that you have received to the College and Career Center no later than Friday.  We need all of this information for the Senior Awards Ceremony and graduation.  You only have two days left!

SPIRIT BRACELETS – Lakewood spirit bracelets on sale in room 222 during lunch. $3 for 1, $5 for 2.

BOOK FAIR - This week Monday 13th Through Friday the 17th.  (except.. closed on the 15th for AP testing.)

LIBRARY BOOKS - Seniors return your library books or pay for the lost books by May 16th. Your diploma will be held and you may not be able to walk graduation if you do not clear up your library fines.

Library Books: 9th, 10th and 11th grade student must return your library books by May 29th or pay for the lost book. Your schedule may be held during summer registration if you do not return your books.

SENIORS  - If you ordered announcements and have not picked them up come to the Banker's office with your ID.

CLOTHING DRIVE – Turn in your unused or extra clothes to the ASB office from now until May 17th. With your clothes donation you will help your school and the homeless, so please clean out your closets and donate!

DODGEBALL SIGN-UPS – Are this week.  Get six of your friends together to make a team!  Sign-ups are in the ASB office, $5 per team. $20 GIFT CARDS for each player on winning team.

HONOR APPAREL/CREDIT MEDALLION AWARD - If you believe you are eligible for honors apparel and/or a credit medallion award please check the list of potential recipients posted on the bulletin board in the counseling center next to the banker’s office door.  Please check by Friday May 17.  Honor apparel is based on your cumulative GPA. If by graduation you will have earned 250 credits and your cumulative grade point average is 2.0 or above, you may be eligible to receive a medallion award.  If you name is not on the list and you think it should be, please see your counselor.

 

CLUB SECTION

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS - The ATM Booster Club is selling Jamba Juice every Tuesday after school underneath the 900 building.  The cost is $4.  Come and have a treat to cool off during the hot afternoons!

 

SENIOR SECTION

SENIORS  - If you ordered announcements and have not picked them up come to the Banker's office with your ID.

SENIORS - If you ordered a panorama picture they have arrived.  Pick them up at the Banker's office.  Have your ID out and ready.

HAVE YOU COMPLETED YOUR FAFSA?  - Seniors, if you are going to community college, you can still complete your FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov.  If you need any help, bring your parents 2012 taxes to the College and Career Center so that you can get your FAFSA finished.

MOST COMMUNITY COLLEGE APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN ONLINE - Seniors, almost all of our local community college applications are now open for Fall 2013.  Go to the school's website where you would like to attend and click on "Apply Online" either on their home page or the Admissions page.
