Lakewood High School Male Academy students will participate in a program which is designed to empower students to excel academically and socially in high school, as they successfully progress towards graduation and college and post-secondary options (adopted from LBUSD Male Academy).

Mission Statement

The mission of the Lancer PAC is to improve the graduation rate of underrepresented promising male students and to encourage lifelong learning by preparing them for college and career options. The program also seeks to address the physical, social, and emotional needs they face.

Lakewood Male Academy - 2013/2014 A NEW LOOK......AGAIN!!

The 2013/14 Male Academy at Lakewood will be sporting another  'NEW LOOK' this year. Last year's Seniors have graduated on to bigger and better things and of course we wish them the best. Now, it is time for a NEW group of young men to take over the leadership and direction of Male Academy. Two years, we welcomed our new Principal, Mr. Jimenez who came to us from Jordan. Mr. Jimenez is a strong ally of the Male Academy. We also welcomed, Mr. Donald Williams our new Assistant Principal. Mr. Williams has experience working with Male Academy at the Middle School level and now at the High School level.

The best news of all is that we will have several (that means more than one) Male Academy Classes this year! Mr. Mario Morales, who did an outstanding job last year with Lakewood's 'first' official full time Male Academy class,  will be teaching the  classes again this year. The classes will meet throughout the day, and  will be using Room 308 to meet in. If you are interested in being a part of our Male Academy, please contact Mr. Morales (MMorales@lbschools.net) or Mr. Estes (pestes@lbschools.net) . There are many, many new activities that we are planning. Come and be a part of it.
