VARSITY FOOTBALL VS POLY HS - This Friday, October 5, 2012, 7PM at Vet's stadium. Lakewood HS student pre-sale tickets on sale at the Banker's office for $3.00. If you have an Activity card/sticker you will be admitted free with your card. Adults are $8.00, senior citizens and children $4.00 and students with IDs at the game are $4.00. Students without ID's are $8.00.
SAT DEADLINE IS TOMORROW - You can still appy for the November 3rd SAT until tomorrow at www.collegeboard.org. If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, remember to stop by the College and Career Center to pick up your fee waiver before you apply for the test.
JUNIOR PARENT NIGHT IS TONIGHT - Juniors, bring your parents to the Auditorium tonight at 5:30 pm to learn more post-secondary options including applying for college, scholarships, and getting ready for life after high school.
UC SYSTEM DAY ON COLLEGE WEEK LIVE IS TOMORROW - College Week Live is hosting an online UC College Fair all day tomorrow. You can log on to www.collegeweeklive.com to meet virtually with representatives from each UC campus.
NCAA FEE WAIVER - Juniors and Seniors: If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, remember to stop by the College and Career Center to tell Miss Gildon that you need a fee waiver after you register for NCAA Eligibility Center at www.eligibilitycenter.org.

ALL 23 CSU CAMPUSES ARE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR FALL - You can now start your CSU applications online at www.csumentor.edu. All CSU and Cal Poly applications are due by November 30th.
UC APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN ONLINE - You can now start your UC applications at www.universityofcalifornia.edu/apply. All UC applications are due by November 30th.
COMMON APPLICATION IS AVAILABLE FOR MOST PRIVATE SCHOOLS - Apply for most private colleges at www.commonapp.org. Check each individual school's application deadline.
LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE - Stop by the College and Career Center to pick up your Local Scholarship Application. With this one application, you will be applying for more than 50 local scholarships.
NEXT ACT DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 2ND - Register for the December 8th ACT at www.actstudent.org. If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, please stop by the College and Career Center next week to get your fee waiver. Make sure to check if the colleges that you're applying to will still accept the December ACT.
