ACTIVITIES CARDS – We still have a lot of unclaimed activities cards. If you purchased one and have not picked it up, please pick it up at the ASB office ASAP.
SENIOR PARENT NIGHT IS OCTOBER 18th - Seniors, bring your parents to the Auditorium Thursday, October 18 at 6pm to learn about post-secondary options including applying for college, scholarships, and getting ready for life after high school.
GIRLS GOLF: Congrats to the varsity girl’s golf team for shooting a 176 score against Avalon HS. 3 girls shoot under par: Shana Siaki was 6 under, H Brown was 1 under, Danielle Nhem was 1 under. Great job entire team.
GRAD NITE – Will be selling tickets today, Oct. 5th at lunch in front of banker’s office. Price is $85 cash or check.
UC BERKELEY AT LAKEWOOD ON TUESDAY - Find out more about Berkeley's incredible programs in areas like Business, Peace and Conlict Studies, Engineering, Neuroscience, History, Political Science, Biochemistry, and Environmental Science. All grades are welcome to learn more in the College and Career Center at lunch on Tuesday.
COLLEGE APPLICATION FEE WAIVERS - SENIORS: The UC and CSU applications have built-in fee waivers. When you enter your parents information in the online application, you will automatically get 4 free applications each for the UC and CSU system if you qualify. You can come to the College and Career Center to pick up fee waivers for any private or out-of-state schools you are applying to for Fall 2013.
FRESHMAN BASEBALL TRY-OUTS - Will be today, Oct. 5, during 6th period and after school until 4:00 pm. See Coach O'Neil to sign up and get more details.
NEW ASB FINE LISTS - Have been posted outside the Banker's office. Please check the list and make sure your name is NOT on the list. If so please clear your ASB fines.
VARSITY FOOTBALL VS POLY HS - Today, October 5, 2012, 7PM at Vet's stadium. Lakewood HS student pre-sale tickets on sale at the Banker's office for $3.00. If you have an Activity card/sticker you will be admitted free with your card. Adults are $8.00, senior citizens and children $4.00 and students with IDs at the game are $4.00. Students without ID's are $8.00.
NCAA FEE WAIVER - Juniors and Seniors: If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, remember to stop by the College and Career Center to tell Miss Gildon that you need a fee waiver after you register for NCAA Eligibility Center at www.eligibilitycenter.org.

ALL 23 CSU CAMPUSES ARE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR FALL - You can now start your CSU applications online at www.csumentor.edu. All CSU and Cal Poly applications are due by November 30th.
UC APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN ONLINE - You can now start your UC applications at www.universityofcalifornia.edu/apply. All UC applications are due by November 30th.
COMMON APPLICATION IS AVAILABLE FOR MOST PRIVATE SCHOOLS - Apply for most private colleges at www.commonapp.org. Check each individual school's application deadline.
LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE - Stop by the College and Career Center to pick up your Local Scholarship Application. With this one application, you will be applying for more than 50 local scholarships.
NEXT ACT DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 2ND - Register for the December 8th ACT at www.actstudent.org. If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, please stop by the College and Career Center next week to get your fee waiver. Make sure to check if the colleges that you're applying to will still accept the December ACT.
