WASC IS COMING TO OUR SCHOOL THIS YEAR! What?s WASC? It?s the group that accredits our school. Accreditation gives meaning to your high school credits and diploma?without it, other high schools and colleges would not accept transfer credits or your diploma. Listen in the coming weeks for ways you can contribute to our WASC process and earn prizes at our rallies.

COLLEGE APPLICATION FEE WAIVERS - SENIORS: The UC and CSU applications have built-in fee waivers. When you enter your parent’s information in the online application, you will automatically get 4 free applications each for the UC and CSU system if you qualify. You can come to the College and Career Center to pick up fee waivers for any private or out-of-state schools you are applying to for Fall 2013.
ALL 23 CSU CAMPUSES ARE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR FALL - You can now start your CSU applications online at www.csumentor.edu. All CSU and Cal Poly applications are due by November 30th.
UC APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN ONLINE - You can now start your UC applications at www.universityofcalifornia.edu/apply. All UC applications are due by November 30th.
COMMON APPLICATION IS AVAILABLE FOR MOST PRIVATE SCHOOLS - Apply for most private colleges at www.commonapp.org. Check each individual school's application deadline.
LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE - Stop by the College and Career Center to pick up your Local Scholarship Application. With this one application, you will be applying for more than 50 local scholarships.
NEXT SAT DEADLINE IS November 1ST - Register for the December 1st SAT at www.collegeboard.org. If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, please stop by the College and Career Center next week to get your feel waiver. This is the last SAT that most colleges will accept for college applications.

NCAA FEE WAIVER - Juniors and Seniors: If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, remember to stop by the College and Career Center to tell Miss Gildon that you need a fee waiver after you register for NCAA Eligibility Center at www.eligibilitycenter.org.
