Coach Gene Gillies

To all our Lakewood High School Alumni:  Former football coach Gene Gillies passed away May 14, 2014.  He was a football coach at LHS from 1966 - 1982 and coached many athletes during his years here.  His two sons, Rick and Ed, were graduates of Lakewood High School. Funeral services were held at a family home on May 24, 2014.

A celebration of his life and a time to share memories and honor his legacy will take place on Saturday, May 31 at 1:00 p.m. at Glory Days Sports Grill (4132 Woodruff Ave., Lakewood).  The memorial is open to anyone who wishes to attend.
