The Black College Expo will take place on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Los Angeles Convention Center (1201 S. Figueroa Street, Los Angeles) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Many Juniors and Seniors who attend the event have college application fees waived, are admitted on-the-spot, or are immediately awarded scholarships (some valued at over $100,000). Remember to bring your transcripts and SAT and/or ACT scores.
The Expo’s Career Recruitment Pavilion features top companies looking to recruit college-bound students.
There are also workshops such as “How to Find Money for College”, “Hot Careers”, “Why Attend an HBCU”, “Benefits of Attending a Private College” and “411 for Student Athletes”.
Tickets are $8.00, but we will be giving some out in the College and Career Center for free while supplies last. You can find out more about the Expo at the link below.
